Spinning Metal Parts - Requires Skilled Custom Manufacturing

The metal spinning process is part art, part science and part high tech manufacturing. Metal spinning or spin forming is a method of producing hollow or open ended cones, cylindrical shells, flanged tank covers, hemispheres, venturis and parabolic nose shapes. spinning metal begins with a sheet metal blank that rotates on a lathe.

The metal disc rotates in a circular motion and a roller presses against the metal to push and form the metal over a tool shaped to the finished part size. This is accomplished through a series of passes by the roller. The resulting part is a piece that duplicates the exterior portion of the tool on which it was formed.

Metal Spinning is an ideal method for forming aluminum, stainless steel, cold rolled steel, hot rolled steel, brass, and copper.

Hialeah Metal Spinning specializes in spin forming stainless steel and aluminum. All tooling is custom made to form parts to your configuration. The following products and shapes are typical:

tank lids / domes
flanged cylinders

NEW! Outdoor Electronic Enclosures -- NEMA-Rated ABS Plastic

You know what they taught you in school about electricity and water not being a good mix. Well, what does an electronics engineer do when s/he is designing electronics equipment that has to stand up to harsh rain and snow outdoors?

He or she calls Avon, Ohio based Polycase - that's what! Polycase just expanded their line of high quality standard plastic electronic enclosures to include several series of NEMA 4X rated cases able to be used in outdoor high moisture situations.

These enclosures all feature gaskets. Versions are available with clear covers and in a variety of colors to provide different design options. ABS and Polycarbonate boxes are available as additional alternatives. The multi-series selection of electronics cases can be seen on the Polycase website under the category heading NEMA / Gasket Enclosures.

Short Run Deep Draw Stamping

Manufacturing metal parts in low volume can be tough! Engineers with relatively small runs (100 -5000 pieces) often hear that deep draw stampers can't produce their parts. Or, an engineer might find herself frustrated with slow response times because her production run isn't large enough to gain the attention of the high volume stamping houses. If your application calls for large, heavy gauge, short run, deep draw stampings with flawless finishes, Hialeah Metal Spinning, Inc. has the equipment and personnel to take your part from the drawing board to production.

HMS is 100% focused on providing precision metal formed parts, utilizing metal spinning and deep drawing. By combining the benefits of CNC metal spinning hand spinning of metal and deep drawn stamping, Hialeah Metal Spinning provides companies producing low to medium volume production parts with a competitive advantage. This combination of manufacturing techniques allows HMS to offer the most cost effective forming solution for each application.

Wall & Corner Protection

One of the highest property damage risk areas in manufacturing occurs when peole directed vehicles are navigating tight corners. Extruded solid rubber Wall Guards and Corner Guards provide excellent protection against damage that can be caused by material handling vehicles in your warehouse, manufacturing plant or freight loading areas.

Durable Corporation manufactures extruded wall guards and corner guards to provide a cushioning barrier against machines like tow-motors and forklifts. Extruded wall guards are great for outdoor or indoor use. They are most often used at commercial loading docks, parking garages, and marinas. The UV stabilized rubber won't crack or split from sun or weather exposure.

Corner Guards are incredibly easy to install and provide maximum protection in storage spaces, parking garages and at truck loading docks and outdoor freight areas.
